NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - START BEFORE LABOR DAY WAIVER

BEGINNING 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on June 18, 2025, at 9:30 o’clock A.M., at 17715 Brady, Redford, Michigan, a Public Hearing will be held to consider a start Before Labor Day Waiver beginning with the 2025-2026 School Year. This request is to allow the district calendar to align with the Early Middle College Program calendar. The Application is available for inspection during normal business hours at 17715 Brady, Redford, Michigan. This is a three-year request.Tradition-Rich, Future-Focused!

2025/2026 Unlimited Schools of Choice Grades K-9

Application Period June 12, 2025, through August 18, 2025

We will be accepting applications from students located in Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties under section 105 and 105c School of Choice. We are accepting unlimited applications in grades K-9 beginning Thursday, June 12, 2025, through August 18, 2025, at 11:59 pm. No applications will be given out prior to June 12, 2025.

Applications will be on-line at www.redfordu.k12.mi.us beginning June 12, 2025. Click on Enroll Now. You can access the School of Choice Application by Clicking on Grades K-9 School of Choice Application on the right or click the yellow bar, School of Choice Pre-Enrollment. It will have a link to the application in it as well. You must complete one application for EACH child you are enrolling. Once you have submitted your application, please continue to Pre-Enrollment. When your Pre-Enrollment is submitted and we have all required documentation you will receive an Acceptance or Denial Letter. We must have your School of Choice Application and all required documentation on or before August 18, 2025, at 11:59 pm.

MEET UP and EAT UP

2025 SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

The Redford Union Schools, District No. 1 announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for children. Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a State or local public educational agency. The meals will be provided without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
